Correspondence Services
Last Updated
April 7, 2003

I admit that my policy regarding Correspondence Services has been erratic.  For the first year or two of
ASAWA, I simply ignored them.  Then I decided to link all of them, and then I decided to link only those I had investigated.  After that, I decided only to link those I thought were in compliance with both American and Philippine law. Sometimes I allowed tours to be included, and sometimes I didn't.

The problem is that nobody wants to link an unethical site, and I've spent years trying to figure out how to avoid doing that.  Unfortunately, I've learned that I do not have nearly the amount of free time I'd need to really investigate every Correspondence Service out there.  It's just not possible.

So here's my policy: I will link every Correspondence Service I am made aware of, provided that it has Filipina clients, with the caveat that I reserve the right to delete any link, at any time, without explanation.  It is up to you, the customer, to decide whether a company or service merits your business.  I have provided some advice on another page of this site, but I cannot make that decision for you.  I don't have the time or resources to investigate these sites.  Most of these services are honest and scrupulous, but there's always a few bad apples.  Look before you bite. Also, if you find a link that's no longer valid, please email me and let me know.

Service operators:  If you have a site that should be included below, then please email me to let me know about it.  bobukhan@yahoo.com . If you are willing to provide a reciprocal link back to ASAWA (www.filipinawives.com) with the logo below, then I'll move you to the top chart.  If you wish not to provide a reciprocal link, I'll still add your link, but it will be on the bottom chart.

Service Name Comments
AB Asian Connections
A variety of resources, nice layout.
Asian Angel Introduction Services I like the advice page. Read it and take it to heart.  Good INS info, also.
Asian Midwest Connection Some beautiful shots of the Philippines can be found here, along with several pages of listings.
Asian Sun Tours
Site emphasizes personal introductions (aka, tours).  Trips are to Cebu and include room, food, etc. for a remarkably low package price. Very extensive link selection, also.
Beautiful Filipina This is a beautiful site, easily navigable, with testimonials, maps, advice and more.
Celina's Filipina Nieces
"Who am I? I am Celina.   I am married to an American who I meet in the Philippines and live in Northern Virginia.
My nieces are always asking for pen pals so I created this website so that you all can see and learn about them. Each one has a page dedicated them along with contact information. I would like them to meet some nice foreign men just like I did.  They all have traditional values and would make good friends or wives."  A wonderful gesture - why not pay this site a visit?
Cherry Blossoms
G
The great granddaddy of them all!  Hawaii based and in business since 1974, Cherry Blossoms was the first service to offer western men an opportunity to meet women in the Philippines and elsewhere in Asia.  I'm happy to report that ASAWA has not gone unnoticed by the folks in Hawaii, as a company rep emailed me recently to say, "Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed your web site today. Keep up the great information…Our business is now 100% web based. We have over 35,000 women from 108 countries and as you probably know a high percentage coming from the Philippines. Thanks for having us on you site."
Everlasting Love
Extremely thorough site even includes a "1st letter" template.  According to Jean (the Filipina owner of the site), all Filipinas listed have passed background checks, physicals, and are currently employed.
Filipino Girl Tours Now in it's 3rd year of tours.  Only for men over who have a legitimate penpal relationship [verification required].  Tours to Cebu/Cagayan de Oro City average under $2000 for airfare and 13 nights hotel.  Includes a complete K visa and follow up with AOS [ green card ], EAD [ work card ], and passport name change for wife after marriage. The visa service is also available for non-tour customers at $450 for the K visa.
Filipina Penpal Not to be confused with "Filipina Penpals", below.  A well organized site that also offers news and travel information.
Filipina Penpals Check out the writing tips section!
Foreign Affair*
G
Filipinas do not play a major role in this service, but there are some, and the site itself is perhaps the most professional in terms of pure design that I've seen.
Love From the Philippines
In addition to a few penpals, this site offers message boards, chat rooms, and more!
Ming's World
Innovative approach by a Filipina.  She breaks the ladies into regional groups, such as Cebuana Beauties and Bohol Babes.  Very creative!
Pearls of the Orient
A catalogue based business, but you can obtain the catalogue for free via mail.  Referred to me be a former client who recommends option #11 on the order form page.
Philippine Introductions

This is Sam and his Filipina wife, Nora's, personal travel business, offering everything from flights to accomodations to banquets.
Rose's Lifetime Partners Fantastic Site.  Even includes Filipino recipes.  Nothing fancy, just the facts.
Rune & Jades' Nipa Hut Fun site with a steel drum band in the background, very tropical. All the addresses are absolutely free, too!
Snooky's Philippine Pen Pals Best part about this site, IMHO, is the customer feedback, i.e., the first-hand narratives of some fellas who traveled to the islands to meet their prospective wives. Also, there are several free addresses.  Insightful and entertaining.
Sunshine International
G
In business for 15 yrs now, this Hawaii-based service has an established reputation and a long, long list of satisfied clients as well. Seen on  Geraldo Rivera and 60 minutes, written about in Filipinas magazine, AsiaWeek,  and many other publications.  Not Filipina owned, but intro's are primarily Filipina.
World Class Service Fantastic site. Don't bypass the FAQs and Tips sections!  You can learn a lot from these pages.  No-nonsense, frank, and helpful.  Well designed layout. Nice soundtrack!
